What Would You Tell Your Children?

mythkids4Many in the world are watching with satisfaction as our great country comes apart at the seams.  Where are all the grown-ups?  Who’s watching out for the next generation?  What will the legacy of our generation be?

I haven’t posted here in some time, mostly because the truth told the whole story and didn’t need my interpretation.  However; I’m so sickened by what’s going on at this moment, I wanted to offer a solution rather than my opinion.  Every American needs to take a step back and consider what we would want our children to do in this situation.  What would Junior do?

  • Treat others with respect.
  • Tell the truth.
  • Don’t blame or shame others.
  • Love one another.
  • Give someone a compliment.
  • Share.
  • Don’t call other people names.
  • Hug.
  • Be quiet.
  • Learn from people who are different from you.
  • Laugh.
  • Be passionate about something.
  • Learn to compromise.
  • Don’t be angry.
  • Listen.
  • Be thankful.
  • Learn.
  • Don’t hate.
  • Work as a team.
  • Follow your dreams.
  • Follow the rules.
  • Unite.
  • Work it out yourself.

I welcome my fellow Americans to add to this list and then put it into action.
